Our skilled appraisers will be able to identify all the damage caused by a collision and provide an estimate that should be very close to the final repair cost. Get someone who doesn't know what needs to be fixed, and the estimate may be lower but the appraisal won't cover everything needed to completely fix the car.
Even with an expert eye, some repairs won't be evident until work has begun. That's where the appraiser's skill really comes into play: they have to convince the insurance company that there was a reason the damage was missed the first time, and these new repairs need to be made to make the car roadworthy.

Your estimate will have a clear breakdown of all the work that needs to be performed on your vehicle and all the parts needed for the repairs. It will also include detailed costs as well as what your insurance will and will not cover.
You can start by obtaining an estimate from our online tool or by bringing your vehicle in for inspection. Once the estimate is done and you decide to use our services, we will work with your insurance agent to get your claim processed and get all repairs finished.
Simply put, We provide a full warranty on repair work. We back our words with a written guarantee of quality of workmanship.

No. You're not obligated to work with these recommended mechanics or body shops for your repairs. Your rights as a consumer allow you to choose your own repair facility, according to the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC).
Your insurance provider may suggest a shop to take your vehicle to, but they can't make you go there for the repair to be compensated. When you have work done, it's in your best interest to find a shop that has the knowledge and tools to do the repair right, not the one that will save the insurance company the most money.
If you want quality work when you have collision damage repaired, come to Patrick Auto Body and Collision. Our technicians are ASE certified, and our shop is I-CAR Gold Class Certified. That means our staff has the experience and the latest training to fix your car right the first time. We even have an appraiser on staff to get your car assessed and work approved by the insurance company so you can be back on the road as soon as possible!
Since 1995, Patrick Auto Body and Collision has worked with all insurance companies to streamline repair and the payment process to reduce paperwork and time on your behalf. We have a positive reputation for precision quality and attentive customer service.

Manufacturers work directly with body shops and through associations like I-CAR to ensure technicians can bring vehicles back to their original specifications. When these repairs are done correctly, the vehicle has the same function, structural integrity and appearance as a vehicle that has not been involved in a collision.
First Steps
- Check yourself for injuries and the well-being of your passengers
- Get to safety and pull over and call 911
- Wait for help
- Full name and contact information
- Insurance company and policy number (Tip: Take a photo of the insurance card)
- Driver's license and license plate number (Tip: Take a photo with your cell phone)
- Type, color and model of vehicle (Tip: Take a photo of the vehicle registration card)
- Location of accident
- Identify the officers. Once the police arrive, get the name and badge number of all responding officers.
- Get a copy. Ask the police officers present where you can obtain a copy of the accident report. Your insurer may ask for a copy of the report when you file a car insurance claim.
- Take pictures. Document the accident thoroughly by taking pictures of your vehicle from different angles, showing the damage done to both cars. It might also be a good idea to take pictures of the other car's license plate. You may be able to share photos with your insurer during the claims process to help support your claim.
- Take down names. Write down the names and addresses of all parties involved, including any passengers in the other vehicle. Talk to witnesses. If there were any witnesses to the accident, take down their names and their contact information as well.
- Get a Police Report. If necessary, report the accident to the DMV.
- Notify your insurance company and start the claims process.
When your car hits an obstacle, the impact goes through the entire vehicle, bending or breaking body panels, frame components, wheels, interior pieces and drivetrain parts.
Here's an example: it may seem odd that Patrick Auto Body does wheel alignments, but it's a necessary part of collision repair because even a minor fender bender can affect the position of the suspension.

It's best to check with your insurance agent and refer to your policy to ensure you are paying the correct deductible. There are different deductibles on the same policy, so you want to make sure you have the correct information. You will pay your deductible after all repairs have been completed and you come to pick up your vehicle.
Typically a car is considered a "total loss" by the insurance company if the cost of repairs exceeds the vehicle's value. An almost new car has to be almost irreparable to meet these criteria, while an old luxury car can quickly meet this threshold due to high parts prices and low resale value.
As a member of the prestigious Patrick Dealer Group we can help you get into a new car if your insurance company does consider your car a total loss. Our dealerships feature hundreds of New, Certified Pre-Owned, and Used vehicles. Here are links to our dealerships:

You can make an insurance claim for damage you caused to your own car if you have collision and/or comprehensive coverage. Plus, our team can work with any insurance company to help minimum paperwork and time on your behalf.
We recommend calling your insurance agent first and detailing what happened. This includes taking pictures of the car and all areas of damage and concern. They will review the situation and then you can schedule an appointment with Patrick Auto Body and Collision to make all the repairs.
