Objective:Â To give the agent an interactive course that reinforces the importance of ethics within the insurance profession, while identifying core values and principles.
The primary course objective is to give the agent an interactive course that reinforces the importance of ethics within the insurance profession while identifying core values and principles (honesty, integrity, serving the client's needs, obeying the law and showing car and respect for others) that impact an agent's ethical decision making process. Working on case studies in small groups and as a class, agents will engage in moral deliberation about ethical situations that can occur within an industry. In addition to learning through lecture and presentation, agents will gain knowledge from other's experience and perceptions as they work through unique and challenging case studies. Practicing ethical logic through utilization of a four-step moral reasoning process, agents will improve their performance as they face real ethical situations throughout their career.
